Snake River Pre & Post Trip Logistics
At 7:00 PM the night prior to the launch, your river guides will meet you at the Pine Valley Lodge (541-742-2027) in Halfway Oregon. Your guides will conduct a trip orientation, answer questions and help you make any final preparations for the trip. This gathering is full of anticipation, excitement, and for some even a little trepidation.
At this meeting we will coordinate our short drive to the launch point of Hell's Canyon Dam. For all five day floats.. your vehicle will be shuttled to Heller's Bar just south of Clarkson Washington. For most of our three day floats we jet boat back to Hell's Canyon Dam, our starting point. On occasion, jet boats are not allowed , or not available for our use. In those cases, your vehicle will be shuttled to Pittsburg landing just west of White Bird Idaho. All shuttle and jet boat cost are included in your trip fee and coordinated by our staff. All shuttles are performed by licensed, insured and bonded shuttle professionals.
