Professional sturgeon fishing guides will pick you up from our river side camp and deliver you back again via their custom fishing jet boats. These professionals know where all of the sturgeon hot spots are in the Snake River, and they have the right equipment to make your guided trip a success. Sturgeon fishing in Hell’s Canyon is 100% catch and release, so bring a camera, or nobody will believe your fish stories.

High Country Hiking & Photography

The views are amazing in the deepest canyon of North America especially when you have hiked high towards the rim to take in the expanse of it all. Customized hiking to fit your visual and physical desires are available from several great locations in the canyon. May and June are my personal favorites for the hiking in Hell’s Canyon as the Deer, Elk, Big Horn sheep, and Mt. Goats give us a better view while eating up the new grown grasses. In early to mid June, wild flowers are in abundance, along with cactus blooms. From up high, you can see how the Snake River got its name as it winds through Hell’s Canyon.

Raft in / Ride Out

Conclude your rafting vacation with a saddle ride from the Snake River, over the rim and into the Imnaha valley. This is an incredible journey out of Hell’s Canyon that I have taken several times and can’t wait for my next. Zoller’s will have your vehicle transported and waiting for you at the trailhead to conclude your adventure.

Some guests just can’t get enough of the great Small Mouth Bass and Trout fishing. When the warmer weather hits, the bite is on for some great Snake River fishing fun. Your whitewater vacation can be customized to include extended time on the river stopping along the eddy lines to seek out some keepers. Snake River Fun Fact #3:
The character of Hell’s Canyon is such that it has been little changed by the encroachment of civilizations. The earliest residents that modern man knows of were the Sheepeaters, a Shoshone people who lived without horses in the steep mountains and hunted the mountain sheep and the Tu-hool-hool-sute’s band of Hell’s Canyon Nez Perce. The early day trappers out of Canada and Ft. Vancouver found little to attract them to the area because of the incredibly difficult travel on the Snake River or along the steep walls of Hell’s Canyon. Over and over expedition parties attempted to find ways to travel by steam-boat, rail, and wagon through Hell’s Canyon, and none met with any significant success. It would seem that whitewater rafting is the perfect mode of transportation through the deepest gorge of North America.
